Crisis Intervention Programs

Making the decision to go into treatment is one that we know involves many factors. We understand that making sure your families are taken care of during treatment is an element that we know is considered prior to entering Lake Point Recovery & Wellness in Arkansas. In addition, we understand that after treatment, maintaining the skills learned in treatment while readjusting to the normal responsibilities of life can also be difficult. The programs below are available to all of our clients residing within our service area, and we hope that utilizing them will make your pathway to success a smoother journey.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

Assisting low-income individuals that meet federal poverty income guidelines with keeping their homes heated in the winter and cooled in the summer. This comes in the form of a one-time payment applied to the individual’s utility bill.

Homeless Prevention, Rapid Rehousing, and Fresh Start

Homeless Prevention assists individuals or families by providing means to avoid eviction from their homes. Eligibility for this program is based on Fair Market Rent rates, maximizes payment at 30% of the household income, and is dependent on household size. If eligible, this is accompanied by case management and goal-setting initiatives.

Rapid Rehousing assists homeless individuals in transitioning into stable homes. Security and utility deposits and up to three months’ rent are provided to assist in this effort, which is also accompanied by case management efforts. There are no income guidelines for this program.

Fresh Start is a rental assistance program that can provide payments for individuals and families that have fallen behind on their rent due to the health and economic impacts caused by the coronavirus. This program is not restricted by Fair Market Rent.

Pathways to Success

A program designed to help individuals plan and reach short and long-term goals that will remove barriers that might currently hinder the individual or family in attaining self-sufficiency. This is done through education in budgeting, energy burden reduction, life-skills development, assistance in job searches, childcare referrals, housing assistance, and increasing leadership skills.

Senior Citizen Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

Each of these programs is designed to assist the individual in lowering monthly food costs. CSFP serves those that are 60-years of age or older, and is designed to provide not only nutritious foods, but also nutritional assistance and recipes on a monthly basis. TEFAP is issued on a quarterly basis, eligibility is based on household size and income.

CSBG Direct Client Services

ARVAC can provide emergency assistance for individuals or families within our communities. These funds are to be utilized for those within the low-income population for various allowable services that assist in alleviating poverty and promoting self-sufficiency. This is on a case-by-case basis and for extreme, emergent cases.

ARVAC Inc. offers many services to our clients before, during, and after treatment. We hope these services help our treatment clients and their families have a clearer path toward lasting recovery.
